Upper High Street And North Street - Temporary Closure For Local Drainage Works

Parish of Castle Cary Temporary Closure of Upper High Street and North Street
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Upper High Street - from the junction with Ansford Road to the junction with Chapel Close; and North Street - from the junction with Chapel Close, eastwards for a distance of 140 metres. A total distance of 234 metres. This Order will enable Kier to carry out local drainage works on behalf of Somerset Highways.
The Order becomes effective on 24th April 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 28th April 2025 and last until 30th May 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 33 days.
