What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
COXBENCH ROAD AND SANDY LANE, COXBENCH

WHEN: 28 April to 02 May 2025
WHERE: Coxbench Road, Coxbench between its junction with Sandy Lane and its junction with Smalley Mill Road. Sandy Lane, Coxbench between its junction with Coxbench Road and its junction with Brackley Gate
REASON: To facilitate BT cabling works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Diversion 1 - Smalley Mill Road, Lady Lea Hill, Lady Lea Road, Woodhouse Road, Church Street, Bywell Lane, Derby Road, Coxbench Road, Vice versa. Diversion 2 - Brackley Gate, Cloves Hill, Smalley Mill Road, Vice Versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
