What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(B6326 GREAT NORTH ROAD AND STAPLE LANE, BALDERTON AND MIDDLEBECK WAY, NEWARK)

(40 M.P.H. SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025 (3395)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council Has Made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effects of which will be, in respects of roads at Newark in the District of Newark and Sherwood in the County of Nottinghamshire.

1. No person shall drive any vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule of this Order.

SCHEDULE

STAPLE LANE, BALDERTON

* From a point 135 metres south-west of the Middlebeck Way - Staple Lane roundabout, in a north-easterly direction to its junction with B6326 Great North Road roundabout, including the entire circulatory of the Middlebeck Way - Staple Lane roundabout and the Great North Road roundabout.

MIDDLEBECK WAY, NEWARK ON TRENT

* From its junction with the Middlebeck Way - Staple Lane roundabout, in a north-westerly direction for 120 metres.

THIS ORDER WILL COME INTO FORCE ON THE 25TH APRIL 2025

In order to fulfil a S278 agreement and due to the new road layout on B6326 Great North Road and Staple Lane, Balderton and Middlebeck Way, Newark, a new 40mph Speed Limit has been introduced.
