The Isle of Wight Council's Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders:

The Isle of Wight Council (Cycle Track from Sandown to Newport, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Cyclists) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for three shifts between Monday 28 April 2025 and Friday 02 May 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any cyclist to proceed along the cycle track from Sandown to Newport due to urgent safety maintenance works. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during cycle track maintenance works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Pound Lane, Calbourne, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Monday 28 April 2025 and Wednesday 30 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Pound Lane, Calbourne, between its junction with Farm House and its junction with Pound Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Carriageway Patching Works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Avenue Road, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Tuesday 29 April 2025 and Thursday 01 May 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Avenue Road, Freshwater, between its junction with High Street and its junction with Car Park Avenue Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during footway improvement works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Ferry Road, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Tuesday 29 April 2025 and Thursday 01 May 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Ferry Road, East Cowes, between its junction with York Avenue and its junction with Link Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during framework repair works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Wheelers Lane, Porchfield, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Wednesday 30 April 2025 and Friday 02 May 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Wheelers Lane, Porchfield, between its junction with Turnpike Lane and its junction with Locks Green Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repair works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Bullon Road, Rookley, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 2 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, on Tuesday 29 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Bullon Road, Rookley, between its junction with Great Preston Road and its junction with Porthill Hill. The Isle of Wight Council (Furlongs, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 2 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0930 hours on Monday 28 April 2025 until 1530 hours on Wednesday 30 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, Furlongs will be closed between its junction with Snowberry Road and its termination. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Shorwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that the following roads will be closed:

a) Walkers Lane will be closed at its junction with Mulkerns Road and its termination. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

The Isle of Wight Council (Old Road, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 28 April 2025 until 1800 hours on Friday 2 May 2025, or when the works have been completed, Morton Old Road will be closed between its junctions with Morton Road and Brading Footpath 48. Access to the remain will be for the south western end where signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during framework works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Victoria Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 21 April 2025 until 1800 hours on Monday 28 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, George Street will be closed between its junction with George Street and its junction with Garfield Road. This temporary restriction is required to allow the safe undertaking of footway improvement works. The one-way restriction on George Street will also be revoked for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Entry and Suspension of No Waiting and No Loading Restrictions) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1900 hours on Tuesday 22 April 2025 until 0600 hours on Wednesday 23 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, there will be a temporary speed restriction along Parkhurst Road, between its junction with Horsebridge Hill and Lonsdale Avenue and b) Horsebridge Hill, between its junction with Parkhurst Road and Nicholson Street. On-street signage will depict the exact dates and times when this restriction will be in effect.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 21 April 2025 until 1800 hours on Friday 25 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Tides Folly Road, Ryde, between its junctions with Church Lane and Appley Lane. The Isle of Wight Council (Bannock Road, Shorwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 3 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours to 1530 hours on Friday 25 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, Bannock Road, Shorwell, will be closed between its junction with Westview Road and its termination. The closure is required for safety during tree works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Wednesday 23 April 2025 and Friday 25 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Bowcombe Road, Carisbrooke, between its junction with Shorwell Bridal Way and its junction with Newport Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Drainage Improvement Works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Tuesday 18 April 2025 until 2359 hours on Sunday 26 May 2025, for 1-15 days, or when the works have been completed, the one-way restriction will be suspended along Great Preston Road, between its junctions with East Hill Road and the access road to the Isle of Wight College. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required during works for carriageway maintenance, lining and signing. The Isle of Wight Council (Canoe Lake Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Any Time Parking and Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1000 hours on Friday 18 April 2025 until 1800 hours on Friday 30 May 2025, for 1-15 days, or when the works have been completed, a ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ parking restriction will be introduced along Canoe Lake Road, on the south side, between its junctions with Appley Road and North Walk. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required during works for surfacing, lining and signs. On-street signage will depict the exact dates and times when this restriction will be in effect.

The Isle of Wight Council (Fitzroy Street, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 21 April 2025 until 1700 hours on Friday 25 April 2025, or when the works have been completed, Fitzroy Street will be closed between its junctions with Victoria Avenue and Grafton Lane. The Isle of Wight Council (St Andrews Street, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1000 hours on Tuesday 22 April 2025 until 1700 hours on Friday 25 April 2025, or when the works have been completed Andrews Street will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signed at the location of the closure. The closure is required for safety during utility works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Cycle Track from Sandown to Newport, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians and Cyclists) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that at all times for approx 15 days between Friday 18 April 2025 and Friday 30 May 2025, or when the works have been completed the Cycle Track from Sandown to Newport will be closed between its junctions with Blackwater Hollow and Merstone Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for maintenance works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 18 April 2025 and Friday 18 July 2025 the following roads will be closed at all times for a period of approximately one to 15 days within this period, as and when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance, lining and investigation works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing work, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents by letter and on street; and advance warning signs in some cases. Adverse weather will have an impact on the commencement and duration of works before the scheme commences.

The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Wroxall, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2025 – High Street will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (St Johns Road, Wroxall, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 3 2025 – St Johns Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Victoria Avenue, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2025 – Victoria Avenue will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Weston Lane, Totland, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2025 – Weston Lane will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Staplers Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 3 2025 – Staplers Road, side road, will be closed between house No 17 & 35.
