NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Aberdeen Square, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2025-572

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Aberdeen Square, Cambridge as lies between Kingfisher Way & Aberdeen Avenue. 

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate hoarding & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 5/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/11/25 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5/5 & 4/11/25.

Eden Street Backway, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-575

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Eden Street Backway, Cambridge as lies between the bollards & Fitzroy Street. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 12/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 11/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12/5 & 30/5/25.

Back Road B1052, Linton Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic & Temporary Revocation Of No Left & Right Turn – Order 2025-581 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Back Road B1052, Linton as lies between No’s 2 & 8 & is to allow vehicles to turn left & right from Balsham Road in to Back Road. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1052; High St; Bartlow Rd; A1307; Hildersham Rd, Little Abington; Little Abington Rd, Hildersham; Back Rd & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 19/05/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 18/11/26 whichever is the earlier.

Cromwell Road, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-583

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cromwell Road, Cambridge as lies between No’s 51 & 79. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via Coldhams Ln; Brampton Rd; Fairfax Rd & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 5/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/11/26 whichever is the earlier.

Over Byway 3, Over Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2025-587

Is to stop any vehicle, cyclist, pedestrian & equestrian from proceeding along Over Byway 3, Over as lies between Community Centre & Anglesey Way. 

The alternative route for vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians & equestrians will be as signed. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main replacement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 12/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 11/11/25 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12/5 & 6/6/25.

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ashdon Road, Bartlow as lies between Hadstock Road & Bartlow Footpath 4.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Dean Rd; Bartlow Rd, Linton; A1307; A1017; B1057; B1054; Ashdon Rd, Radwinter; Radwinter Rd; Radwinter Rd, Ashdon; Church Hill: Bartlow Rd & vice versa .

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 31/10/26 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs & 15:30hrs 1/5/25.

Broadway, Grantchester Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-591

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Broadway, Grantchester as lies between Nos.35 & 81.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 12/5 to 16/5/25.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 5/5 to 21/5/25.

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Mills Lane, Longstanton as lies between No.51 & St Michaels. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via St Michaels Ln; St Michaels & vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 5/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/11/26 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 5/5 to 12/5/25.

Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-628

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Woodside & Thatchers Wood, Longstanton as lies between 65a & The Manor; Numbers 1 & 20 including all side road in between respectively. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 8/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 7/11/26 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 8/5 to 14/5/25 (Woodside); 12/5 to 16/5/25 (Thatchers Wood).

Lockspit Hall Drove, Cottenham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-630

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Lockspit Hall Drove, Cottenham as lies between B1049 & Oxholme Drove. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 12/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 11/11/26 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 12/5 to 16/5/25.

Newmarket Road A1134, Cambridge Temporary Suspension Of Bus & Cycle Lane – Order 2025-641

Will be to temporarily suspend the bus & cycle lane as lies between Swann Road & Airport Way. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area D (Consolidation) Order 1993 as amended by The City of Cambridge Area D (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No. 10) Order 1997, Schedule 23 Part 2 Mandatory with flow cycle lane, Newmarket Road on the northern side of the carriageway from a point 44 metres northeast of the centreline of Garlic Row to its junction with Wadloes Road, Newmarket Road on the southern side of the carriageway from its junction with Barnwell Road to a point 75 metres east of the centreline of Swann’s Road Is hereby suspended. 

During the period this Order remains in force Cambridgeshire County Council, (Various Streets, Cambridge), (Bus Lanes), Order 2024, Roads & parts of roads on which any vehicle other than a pedal cycle. Electric scooter, Bus, Hackney carriage or private hire vehicle is prohibited at all times on all days, Newmarket Road: On the north side from a point 65m north-east of its junction with River Lane to a point 30m north-east of its junction with Garlic Row. 

Newmarket Road: On the south side from a point 155 metres west of its junction with Ditton Walk to a point 50 metres northeast of its junction with River Lane, Newmarket Road: On the south side from its junction with Ditton Lane to a point 75m west of its junction with Meadowlands Road is hereby suspended. 

During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area D (Consolidation) Order 1993, Schedule 22 Dual use cycle track, Newmarket Road The footway on its north side from its junction with Ditton walk to its junction with Swann’s Road including the adjoining footways linking with Swann’s Road, Newmarket Road The footway on its north side from its junction with Garlic Row to its junction with Swann’s Road, Newmarket Road The footway on its north side from its junction with Ditton Lane to its junction with Marshalls Main entrance, Newmarket Road The footway on its south side from its junction with the entrance to the Holy Cross Church to the pelican crossing at Marshalls is hereby suspended. 

During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area D (Consolidation) Order 1993 as amended by The City of Cambridge Area D (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No. 17) Order 2002, Schedule 22 Dual use cycle track, Newmarket Road The footway on its north side from its junction with Wadloes Road to its junction with Ditton Lane is hereby suspended. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate trial holes & associated works which are being carried out on or near the bus & cycle lane & it will come into operation on 12/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 11/11/26 whichever is the earlier. 

This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Newmarket Road A1134, Cambridge are in progress. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12/5 & 21/5/25.

Kingston Street & Hooper Street, Cambridge
Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-642

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Kingston Street & Hooper Street, Cambridge as lies between No.63 & Kingston Street; Nos.5 & 8 respectively. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via Mill Rd; Gwydir St & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sluice valve repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 7/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/11/26 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 7/5 & 9/5/25. 

Hinxton Road, Duxford Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-643

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hinxton Road, Duxford as lies between St Peters Street & The Biggen. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via St Peters St; Ickleton Rd C284; Rectory Rd; Hinxton Rd & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate outside stop tap installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 31/10/26 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1/5 & 2/5/25.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 12/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 11/11/26 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 12/5 to 15/5/25 (Robin Close); 14/5 to 20/5/25 (Gladeside).

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/11/26 whichever is the earlier.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/11/26 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6/5 & 9/5/25.

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Rock Road, Cambridge as lies between Hartington Grove & Cherry Hinton Road.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate relay lead supply & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/11/26 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6/5 & 9/5/25.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 19/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 18/11/26 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 19/5 to 4/6/25.

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Albert Street, Cambridge as lies between A1134 & A1303. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via A1134; A1303 & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate update water supply pipe & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 12/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 11/11/26 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12/5 & 16/5/25.

New Barns Lane, Conington Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-683

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along New Barns Lane, Conington as lies between New Barns Farm & Conington Road. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this order. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via A1307; Conington Rd C181, Fenstanton, Conington Rd & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water disconnection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 13/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 12/11/26 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12/5 & 15/5/25.

West Wickham Road, Balsham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-684 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along West Wickham Road, Balsham as lies between Blackbarn Wood & The Orchard. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1052; High St, West Wratting; The Common; Burton End; Burton End, West Wickham; High St; High St Southern Spur; Balsham Rd & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 23/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 22/11/26 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs & 15:00hrs 23/5/25.
