(THTTC3726 HIGH STREET, PAULTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of High Street, Paulton from a point outside 13 Lilian Terrace extending south to a point outside 7 Lilian Terrace. USRN: 47917698.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wessex Water to replace a damaged manhole cover in the carriageway on the 27th April 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 08:00-16:00hrs.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:
• Pilgrims Way, Chew Stoke from its junction with B3114 Bristol Road extending north west for approximately 75 metres. USRN: 47904069.
• Chapel Lane, Chew Stoke from its junction with B3114 Bristol Road extending east for its entire length. USRN: 47921595.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable National Grid to carry out a decayed pole change – erect new pole, overhead reconductoring on the 30th April 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 08:00-16:30hrs.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of King Lane, Clutton from its junction with Cuckoo Lane extending west for approximately 190 metres. This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to work on overhead structure to complete approx 200m of cabling and jointing work on the 11th May 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months.

• A road closure in that length of Queen Charlton Lane, Queen Charlton from its junction with Charlton Road extending north west for approximately 120 metres. USRN: 47902195.
• A temporary suspension of the permanent order which prohibits motor vehicles using Queen Charlton Lane, Queen Charlton from the A37 end of Queen Charlton Lane, extending east to its junction with Dapwell Lane. This will allow vehicles to use this road as part of the diversion route.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Bristol Water to install a new water connection on the 13th May 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for THREE DAYS.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
• A road closure in that length of Bathford Hill, Compton Dando approximately 263 metres south east of its junction with Old Burnet Lane, at its point with the stone bridge. USRN: 47960027.
• A 7.5 tonne weight restriction in that length of Bathford Hill, Compton Dando from its junction with Court Hill/Culvery Hay, extending south east to its junction with Stalcombe Lane/ Crosspost Lane.
• A 7.5 tonne weight restriction in that length of Crosspost Lane and Stalcombe Lane, Compton Dando for their entire length.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road due to a weak bridge, with strengthening repairs to be carried out (repair dates to be confirmed) from the 28th April 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months.
The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for 18 Months.
The weight restriction is to remain in place until bridge strengthening repairs have been completed. Repairs will be carried out under a full road closure (dates to be confirmed).
