ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

PUTNEY BRIDGE ROAD BUS LANE

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate the safe and expeditious movement of traffic (“the works”), they intend to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce temporary changes to the north-west bound bus lane on Putney Bridge Road as set out in paragraph 2 below.

  2. Whilst the Order remains in force,

    (a) the operational hours of the north-west bound bus lane operating in Putney Bridge Road will be amended so that they operate between 7am and 7pm on all days of the week;

    (b) waiting and loading restrictions, operating between 7am and 7pm, on all days of the week will be introduced on the south-western side of Putney Bridge Road, between its junction with Atney Road and a point outside 329-339 Putney Bridge Road;

    (c) the permit parking and pay and display parking bays outside 2-12 Sir Abraham Dawes Cottages will be suspended.

  3. The Order will come into effect on 28 April 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months. The temporary restrictions will only apply at such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by the placing of traffic signs.

  4. Nothing in the Order will apply to vehicles proceeding in the bus lane if they are:

    (a) Buses;

    (b) Taxis;

    (c) Pedal cycles;

    (d) Solo motor cycles;

    (e) Dial-a-ride-buses;

    (f) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (g) a vehicle on which the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (h) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE – KATHLEEN ROAD SW11

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Kathleen Road to facilitate a Crane Operation.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Kathleen Road from the end of the disabled bay outside numbers 1 & 3 to the junction with Lavender Hill. To facilitate access, Kathleen Road will also be made two-way for the duration of the works. There will be no waiting at any time.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 28 April 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 28 April 2025.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE – HEDDON ROAD PROJECT – VARIOUS STREETS SW17

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in the roads listed in the schedule to this order to facilitate Southern Gas Networks utility works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along the following roads – Lingwell Road, Ansell Road, Beeches Road, Gateside Road and Glenburnie Road and Morven Road at their junctions with the roads listed in the schedule attached to this order.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 29 April 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 1 September 2025.
