CUMBERNAULD (TEMPORARY ROAD
CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
On 14 April 2025 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on High Voltage Cable Installation Works) on Deerdykes Road, Cumbernauld from Deerdykes Roundabout to Old Quarry Road by reason of works being executed on or near that location.
Alternative routes: Vehicles northwest side of the closure should proceed on Westfield Road and Deerdykes Road to the southeast side of the closure.
Vehicles on the southeast side of the closure should proceed vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
Vehicular access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure. The Order, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 28th April 2025 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Friday, 9th May 2025.
