What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(LANGDALE ROAD, DUNSTABLE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Langdale Road, Dunstable between First Avenue and Hilton Avenue.
This temporary closure is required to enable a CCTV survey on gully works to take place safely and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 12 to 16 May 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Garden Road, A5183, Meadway, Cainsworde Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 12 May 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(DOOLITTLE LANE, TOTTERNHOE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Doolittle Lane, Totternhoe from junction with Dyers Lane track to approximately 130m from Harling Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable disconnection and reconnection of existing electricity supply works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 1 to 9 May 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Doolittle Lane, Dunstable Road, Harling Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 1 May 2025 for a period of three months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Network Plus - 01787237509.

BRIAN ROAD AND LINCOLN WAY, HARLINGTON
WAITING RESTRICTIONS
On 15th April 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-
To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Harlington:-
1. Brian Road, west side, from the junction with Lincoln Way, extending in a southeasterly direction for approximately 22 metres.
2. Brian Road, east side, from the junction with Lincoln Way, extending in a southeasterly direction for approximately 25 metres.
To introduce 2 hour Limited Waiting with No Return within 2 hours from Monday to Saturday between 7am and 7pm on the following length of road in Harlington:-
1. Lincoln Way, south side, from the junction with Brian Road, extending in a southwesterly direction for approximately 38 metres to the end of the lay-by.

High Court Challenge:- Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Section had not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of 15th April 2025, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

2. The Crescent, both sides, from the junction with Luton Road (B579) and extending in a south westerly direction for approximately 10 metres.
3. Princes Street, both sides, from the junction with Dunstable Road (B5120) and extending in an easterly direction for approximately 10 metres.
4. Grange Gardens, both sides, from the junction with High Street (B5120) and extending in an easterly direction for approximately 10 metres.
5. High Street (B5120), east side, from the junction with Grange Gardens and extending in a northerly direction for approximately 10 metres.
6. High Street (B5120), east side, from the junction with Grange Gardens and extending in a southerly direction for approximately 10 metres.
