Cambridgeshire - Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures due to Works

What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Hundred Foot Bank B1411, Little Downham

Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-582

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hundred Foot Bank B1411, Little Downham as lies between 20m either side of the railway bridge.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1411; A10; A1101 & vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate bridge inspection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 19/05/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 18/11/26 whichever is the earlier.

Ten Mile Bank, Littleport Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-595

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ten Mile Bank, Littleport as lies between No.37 & Willow Drive. The alternative route for vehicles is via River Bank, Ten Mile Bank; Engine Rd; Modney Bridge Rd, Hilgay; A10 & vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate chamber repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6/5 & 8/5/25.

Broad Street, Ely Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-613

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Broad Street, Ely as lies between Jubilee Terrace & Missin Gate. The alternative route for vehicles is via Forehill; Lisle Ln; B1382; Cambridge Rd C315; A142; Angel Drove; Station Rd & vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate chamber repairs & connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 7/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 7/5 & 9/5/25.

Shedricks Road, Isleham Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-621

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Shedricks Road, Isleham as lies between East End Farm & Beck Road C144. The alternative route for vehicles is via Beck Rd; The Causeway; East Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate pipe laying & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 19/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 18/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19/5 & 28/5/25.

Lynn Road A10, Littleport Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-702

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Lynn Road A10, Littleport as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles is via A10; A142; A141; A47; A1101; A1122; A10 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 4/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 3/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 22:30hrs & 05:00hrs 4/5 to 6/5/25.

Julius Martin Lane, Soham Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-711

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Julius Martin Lane, Soham as lies between Mereside & Thorn Close. The alternative route for vehicles is via Julius Martin Ln; Townsend; The Shade; Kingfisher Dr; Mereside & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 19/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 18/11/26 whichever is the earlier.

Barway Road, Soham Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-719

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Barway Road, Soham as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 28/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 27/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 23:00hrs 28/5 & 06:00hrs 29/5/25.

Various Roads, East Division Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-646

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1.

The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate water main laying & associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 19/5/25 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 18/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule.

Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting in the performance or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
