Roads Sorrounding Luton International Carnival - Temporary Road Closures
What is happening?

ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Luton Borough Council, the Highway Authority for the said Borough, intends to make the above Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The Order will come into operation on Sunday 25th May 2025 and cease operation after 24 hours or when the proposed event has finished, whichever is earlier. The Order will therefore be in operation during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs, marshals, barriers or cones.
The effect of the Order will allow the Council to temporarily close to vehicular traffic various lengths of the event roads (including roads adjoining the event roads), namely Alma Link, Alma Street, Bridge Street, Bute Street, Church Street, Collingdon Street, Dunstable Place, Flowers Way, George Street, Gordon Street, Guildford Street, Library Road, Manchester Street, New Bedford Road, Park Street, Park Street West, Peel Street, Silver Street, St George Square, Upper George Street, Wellington Street.
The Order is intended to create a window for the event to take place and it is anticipated that the event will finish over a period within the date described above.
The purpose of the Order is to enable the roads listed as above to be closed to facilitate the holding of the Luton International Carnival 2025 event on Sunday 25th May 2025 and enable members of the public to watch. Access will be maintained as best as possible to properties where this may be done safely whilst the event is taking place and diversions for traffic where available will be marked by signs.
