Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2025

On 23 April 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- 

(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of B311 Upper Chobham Road, Camberley which extends from its junction with Chobham Road to its junction with Prior Road; and 

(b) revoke “The Surrey County Council B311 Upper Chobham Road – Heatherside, A322 Guildford Road – Bisley and A322 Bagshot Road – Knaphill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it relates to Upper Chobham Road only. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway reconstruction/carriageway surfacing and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 May 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. 

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council proposes to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to – (a) prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding or waiting in length of Berkshire Road (D3418) Camberley between the northern boundary of the property known as “1 Dean Parade” and the southern boundary of the property known as “16 Dean Parade”; and (b) prohibit the use of the footway adjacent to this length of road.

Alternative Route – Horseshoe Crescent and Hampshire Road, or this route in reverse. Pedestrians will be diverted using the pedestrian crossings.

This Order is required to enable Cornerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure Ltd to facilitate maintenance and repair of telecommunications equipment and all associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 28 April 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 May 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

1. (a) that length of A30 London Road, Bagshot which extends from its junction with Higgs Lane to its junction with Park View; (b) that length of B3209 High Street, Bagshot which extends from its junction with A30 London Road north-eastwards for a distance of 50m.

Alternative Route 1 – A30 London Road, B3015 The Maultway, B311 Red Road, A322 Gordon Boys Roundabout, A322 Lightwater By-Pass, A322 Bagshot By-Pass and A30 London Road; Alternative Route 2 – A30 London Road, A322 Grove End, A322 Bagshot By-Pass, A322 Lightwater By-Pass, A322 Gordon Boys Roundabout, B311 Red Road, B3015 The Maultway and A30 London Road;

2. the entire length of D39 Bowling Green Road, Chobham. Alternative Route – B383 Windsor Road and D39 Little Heath Road; 3. the entire length of D3545 Martindale Avenue, Camberley. Alternative Route – D3493 Cumberland Road, D3493 Arundel Road and D3489 Goldney Road;

4. (a) the entire length of D3522 Elsenwood Drive, Camberley; (b) that length of D3509 Crawley Ridge, Camberley which extends from a point 50m east of its junction with D3522 Elsenwood Drive to a point 50m west of its junction with D3522 Elsenwood Drive. Alternative Route 1 – D3509 Crawley Ridge, D3509 Gibbet Lane, A325 Portsmouth Road, D3525 Crawley Hill and D3509 Crawley Ridge. Alternative Route 2 – D3509 Crawley Ridge, D3509 Gibbet Lane and A325 Portsmouth Road;

5. that length of D33 Church Lane, Bisley which extends from its junction with A322 Guildford Road to its junction with Nasturtium Drive. Alternative Route – A322 Guildford Road, D31 Clews Lane and D33 Church Lane.
