Alton Street, Temporary Road Closure Due To Sewer Works

NOTICE Is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under Its relevant powers, made the following Order: C1279, Alton Street, Ross On Wye, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1279, Alton Street, Ross-On-Wye, Outside number 15. Grid Ref: 360244/223779.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via B4234 onto High Street onto Market Place onto the B4234 onto Millpond Street onto Station Street onto Station Approach onto the B4260 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to sewer works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 28th of April 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
