Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2) and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)
Effect of the Order: To introduce a Prohibition of Motor Vehicles on the following length of road:

The Essex County Council (Fairmead Road, Waltham Abbey) (Prohibition of Motor Vehicles) Order 2013 is hereby revoked, as are all other previous Orders relating to the Prohibition of Motor Vehicles on Fairmead Road, Waltham Abbey.
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 24 April 2025
Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
(Epping Forest District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.35) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the Order: To temporarily close that length of Castle Street, Ongar in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 20m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th May 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7101001410934 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pipe laying works are undertaken by Cadent.
The Order will come into effect on 24th April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(London Road/Tawney Lane, Stapleford Tawney) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of London Road/Tawney Lane, Stapleford Tawney in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 295m north east of the junction with Epping Lane for a distance of approximately 1330m in a north westerly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th May 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WS3MJ1LCSB – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing and replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Tawney Lane, Tawney Common, Epping Road, Banks Lane, Mount Road, Epping Lane, London Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 24th April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Millers Green Road/Fyfield Road & Willingdale Road, Willingdale) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the Order:
To temporarily close that length of Millers Green Road/Fyfield Road, Willingdale in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 165m south east of the junction of Willingdale Road for a distance of approximately 500m in a north westerly then north easterly northerly direction.
To temporarily close that length of Willingdale Road, Willingdale in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Millers Green Road for a distance of approximately 335m in a westerly then south westerly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 12th May 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC300571871970/EC30020602700/EC30091212634 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cable repair works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

(Millers Lane, Chigwell) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the Order: To temporarily close that length of Millers Lane, Chigwell in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Millers Close to its junction with Gravel Lane a distance of approximately 385m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th May 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2383091 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via: Millers Lane, Manor Road, Gravel Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 24th April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Sheering Mill Lane/Sun Street, Sheering) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Sheering Mill Lane, Sheering in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Four Acres to its junction with Luxford Place for a distance of approximately 120m.
To temporarily close that length of Sun Street, Sheering in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Sheering Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 12th May 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WG3N0M4T01ETHSB & BC008WG3N0M4TETHSB – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while desilting works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Sheering Mill Lane, Sheering Lower Road, Hatfield Heath Road, Station Road, London Road, Bonks Hill, Brook Road, East Drive, Vantorts Road, Fairway and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 24th April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(The Chase, Newhall) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close the length of The Chase, Newhall in the District of Harlow, from its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th May 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410263825 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water main repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via London Road, Braggowens Ley, Great Auger Street, The Chase and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 24th April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Toot Hill Road, Stanford Rivers) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Toot Hill Road, Stanford Rivers in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 240m north west of its junction with Colemans Farm Lane for a distance of approximately 100m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th May 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA0011WG1R1N9Z – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole and overhead network works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Mutton Row, Toot Hill Road, Drapers Corner, Greensted Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 24th April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, District of Epping Forest) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.7) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the District of Epping Forest as specified in the schedule to this Order.
A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Epping Forest District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 24th April 2025, exact dates will be specified on One.Network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of the works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion route will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the date of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on site.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hook Lane, Stapleford Abbotts in the District of Epping Forest from a point approximately 200m south west of its junction with Stapleford Road for a distance of approximately 55m in a south westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th April 2025 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP20231102602 – Avery Traffic Consultants Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while repairs to a damaged culvert wall works are undertaken by Avery Traffic Consultants Ltd.

The Order will come into effect on 10th April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Sheering Road & Sheering Lower Road, Sheering) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Sheering Road, Sheering in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 250m north east of its junction with Gilden Way for a distance of approximately 85m in a north easterly direction.
To temporarily close that length of Sheering Lower Road, Sheering in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Sheering Road for a distance of approximately 150m in a north westerly then northerly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 28th April 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX0410255021/MX0410255021CC – Affinity Water).
