What is happening?
CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:
Meldreth Road, Shepreth Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-578
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Meldreth Road, Shepreth as lies between No.100 & Shepreth Footpath 2. The alternative route for vehicles is via Fowlmere Rd; A10; Station Rd; Whitecroft Rd C270; Fenny Ln; North End & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate remedial works to defective reinstatement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/11/26 whichever is the earlier.
London Road B1368, Chrishall Road, Fowlmere & London Road B1368, Melbourn Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-703
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along London Road B1368, Chrishall Road, Fowlmere & London Road B1368, Melbourn as lies between the B1368 & the A505. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1368; Thriplow Rd; Fowlmere Rd, Thriplow; Middle St; Gravel Pit Hill; A505; B1368 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage investigations & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 20/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 19/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs & 15:30hrs 20/5 to 30/5/25.
Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
