What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN NETTLEDEN, BERKHAMSTED AND NORTHCHURCH) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):-
1. that length of Nettleden Road, Nettleden from its junction with Pipers Hill south eastwards and southwards for a distance of approximately 250m.
An alternative route will be via Nettleden Road, Hudnall Lane, B440 (Dagnall Road/Leighton Buzzard Road) and Nettleden Road.
2. that length of Charles Street, Berkhamsted from its junction with A416 Kings Road north westwards to its junction with Cross Oak Road, a distance of approximately 500m.
An alternative route will be via A416 Kings Road, A4251 High Street and Cross Oak Road.
3. that length of Darrs Lane, Northchurch from its junction with A4251 High Street south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Shootersway, a distance of approximately 640m. An alternative route will be via A4251 High Street, Durrants Lane and Shootersway.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF POUCHEN END LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Pouchen End Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Pix Farm Lane north eastwards to its junction with Chaulden Lane, a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Pix Farm Lane, Little Heath Lane, Hempstead Lane and Pouchen End Lane.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because tree works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KINGS LANE, CHIPPERFIELD) ORDER NO.2 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Kings Lane, Chipperfield from its junction with Chapel Croft south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with The Street, a distance of approximately 449m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Chapel Croft and The Street. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. RESTRICTIONS IN A414 BREAKSPEAR WAY,
LEVERSTOCK GREEN) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A414 Breakspear Way, Leverstock Green from its junction with the A4147 Maylands Avenue/A414 St Albans Road roundabout north eastwards to its junction with The Green Lane roundabout, a distance of approximately 920m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via A414 (St Albans Road/Two Waters Road), A4251 (London Road/Hempstead Road/High Street/Watford
Road), A41 (Watford Road/North Western Avenue), A405 (North Orbital Road/St Albans Road/North Orbital Road) and A414 (unnamed road/ Breakspear Way).
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BUNKERS LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bunkers Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Belswains Lane north eastwards to its junction with Chambersbury Lane, a distance of approximately 137m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Belswains Lane, Barnacres Road, Georgewood Road, Highbarns and Chambersbury Lane.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

RESTRICTONS IN CHIPPERFIELD ROAD, KINGS LANGLEY AND
LANGLEY ROAD/CHAPEL CROFT, CHIPPERFIELD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Chipperfield Road, Kings Langley and Langley Road/Chapel Croft,
Chipperfield from a point 499m south west of its junction with Langley Hill south westwards to its junction with Tower Hill, a distance of approximately 800m (“the length of Roads”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Chipperfield Road, Vicarage Lane,
A4251 (Hemel Hempstead Road/London Road), B4505 (Box Lane/ Hempstead Road), High Street, Chipperfield Road and Tower Hill. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 28 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GREEN LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Green Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the Boundary Way roundabout southwards and south westwards to its junction with the A414 Breakspear Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 408m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Boundary Way, Three Cherry Trees Lane, Swallowdale Lane, A4147 Maylands Avenue and A414 Breakspear Way.
The Order is needed because drainage and duck crossing works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 24 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PULLER ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Puller Road, Hemel Hempstead from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.30 Puller Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 16m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Puller Road, St Johns Road, Cowper Road, Grosvenor Terrace and Puller Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 28 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (GEORGE STREET, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD)
(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF STOPPING AND WAITING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to introduce a new school keep clear restriction on part of George Street, Hemel Hempstead as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
The Order will come into effect on Thursday 24 April 2025. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order may be viewed from 23 April 2025 to 4 June 2025 during office hours at Main Reception, County Hall, Hertford or online at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting Dacorum and looking at Ref: D01924.

SCHEDULE: ‘No stopping or waiting on the School Keep Clear markings 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday’ restriction – that section of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plan – Part of George Street opposite Nos. 9 to 15.
