Dorset - Multiple Temporary Road Closures and Restrictions due to Works

What is happening?

Temporary Closure of B3143, Pulham

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 18 July 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31 July 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

[1] To impose temporary road closure on B3143, Pulham from a point 110 metres north east of Holwell Road to the junction with C20 (in both directions), a distance of approximately 2470 metres. A locally signed diversion route will

be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections. Please note the closures will be in operation as and when indicated by signs on site. Advanced warning signs will be placed on the road two weeks advance of the closure to indicate the exact dates the closure will affect the roads.

[2] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the road along B3143, Pulham from a point 110 metres north east of Holwell Road to the junction with C20 (in both directions), a distance of approximately 2470 metres. Vehicles waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Traffic Management Order of Coombe Road, Winterbourne Steepleton

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 05 May 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed between 24 June 2025 and 07 July 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway surface treatment works.

The effect of the Order is as follows:

[1] To impose a temporary speed restriction of 10mph to facilitate the use of a convoy working vehicle along COOMBE ROAD, WINTERBOURNE STEEPLETON between its junction with B3159 and its junction with Bishop’s Road, a distance of approximately 3600 metres.

[2] To impose a parking suspension, as indicated by signs on site, to prevent parking on the highway along COOMBE ROAD, WINTERBOURNE STEEPLETON between its junction with B3159 and its junction with Bishop’s Road, a distance of approximately 3600 metres.

[3] To impose a clearway, as indicated by signs on site, to prevent waiting on the highway along COOMBE ROAD, WINTERBOURNE STEEPLETON between its junction with B3159 and its junction with Bishop’s Road, a distance of approximately 3600 metres.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restrictions imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Please note that the above restrictions may be enforced on more than one occasion and at any time during the order duration stated above and the works are weather dependent.

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 05 May 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed between 15 July 2025 and 29 July 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway surface treatment works.

The effect of the Order is as follows:

[1] To impose a temporary speed restriction of 10mph to facilitate the use of a convoy working vehicle along A352 between its junction with B3146 and its junction with Tiley Knap, a distance of approximately 2325 metres.

[2] To impose a parking suspension, as indicated by signs on site, to prevent parking on the highway along A352 between its junction with B3146 and its junction with Tiley Knap, a distance of approximately 2325 metres.

[3] To impose a clearway, as indicated by signs on site, to prevent waiting on the highway along A352 between its junction with B3146 and its junction with Tiley Knap, a distance of approximately 2325 metres.

[4] To impose a temporary speed restriction of 10mph to facilitate the use of a convoy working vehicle along TILEY KNAP between its junction with A352 and the entrance to Lyons Head Farm, a distance of approximately 1090 metres.

[5] To impose a parking suspension, as indicated by signs on site, to prevent parking on the highway along TILEY KNAP between its junction with A352 and the entrance to Lyons Head Farm, a distance of approximately 1090 metres.

[6] To impose a clearway, as indicated by signs on site, to prevent waiting on the highway along TILEY KNAP between its junction with A352 and the entrance to Lyons Head Farm, a distance of approximately 1090 metres.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Please note that the dates are a window of opportunity and the road may not be occupied for the whole duration stated above and the works are weather dependent.

It will come into operation on 5 May 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be carried out between 26 June 2025 and 4 July 2025 and working times will be between 0500hrs and 1700hrs, works will not take place at night, over the weekend or on Bank Holidays.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface dressing works.

The effect of this Order will be:

[1] To impose temporary road closure on Poundbury Road from its junction with Muckleford Road

[2] To impose temporary clearway on Poundbury Road from its junction with Muckleford Road to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works

Any vehicle in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

If a vehicle has been towed the owner will need to contact our towing contractor:

Bridport Car Recovery Ltd/Bridle Valley Recovery Ltd on 01308 859421.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

[1] To impose temporary road closure on Came View Road from outside Max Gate to the rear of 12, Came View Road.

[2] To impose temporary clearway on Came View Road from outside Max Gate to the rear of 12, Came View Road, to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works.

Any vehicle in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. If a vehicle has been towed the owner will need to contact our towing contractors Ashleywood Recovery Ltd/Bridle Valley Recovery Ltd on 01305 889421.

It will come into operation on 5 May 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be carried out between 4 June 2025 and 13 June 2025 and working times will be between 0500hrs and 1700hrs, works will not take place at night, over the weekend or on Bank Holidays.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface dressing works.

The effect of this Order will be:

[1] To impose temporary road closure on B3159 between its junction with the Church Farm access road and its junction with A35 at Winterborne Steepleton

[2] To impose temporary clearway on B3159 between its junction with the Church Farm access road and its junction with A35 at Winterborne Steepleton to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works

Any vehicle in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
