(Varous Streets, Framwellgate Moor) (20 mph Zone) Order 2023 (Amendement Order No.1) 2025
The Council on 11/4/2025 made an Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 & 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 “the Act”), as amended, the effect of which comes into operation on 24/4/2025 which will extend the existing 20mph ZONE on the C100 Durham Moor and Front Street from the existing restriction for 70 metres in a north easterly then northerly direction, to 8 metres south of the junction with Bridgemere Drive and introduce a 20 mph speed zone limit at Alexandra Close from its junction with the C100 Front Street extending westerly and southerly for its entire length of adopted highway. A copy of the Order and supporting documents can be seen via the Council website, and at Newton Hall Library during normal opening hours. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by “the Act”, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks from 11/4/2025.
