Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS ARES
B2169 Bayham Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 5HW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow manhole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2169 Bayham Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 13th May 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Hillside. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2169 Bayham Road, A267 Frant Road, Forest Road, B2169 Bayham Road and vice versa.
Ballards Hill & Goudhurst Road, Horsmonden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Ballards Hill & Goudhurst Road, Horsmonden, on or after 18th May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Brick Kiln Lane to the junction of B2079 North Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ballards Hill, B2079 North Road, A262 The Plain, A262 West Road, A262 Clayhill, A262 Station Road, A262 Spelmonden Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Horsmonden Road, A21 Forstal Farm Roundabout, A262 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, The Heath, Goudhurst Road and vice versa.
Broom Lane, Langton Green (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow reinstatement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Broom Lane, Langton Green, on or after 28th April 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 50m north of the Water Treatment Works. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Broom Lane, A264 Langton Road, Tea Garden Lane, High Rocks Lane, Hillswood Road, Broom Lane and vice versa.
Major Yorks Road, Hungershall Park Road & Fir Tree Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN4 8AH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Major Yorks Road, Hungershall Park Road & Fir Tree Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 5th April 2025 for up to 16 days or until the works have been completed.
Major Yorks Road will be closed at the junction of Hungershall Park Road, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 on Monday to Friday, 08:00 and 18:00 on Saturdays and 09:00 and 17:00 on Sundays only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Hungershall Park Road will be closed at the junction of Major Yorks Road, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 on Monday to Friday, 08:00 and 18:00 on Saturdays and 09:00 and 17:00 on Sundays only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Fir Tree Road will be closed at the junction of Major Yorks Road to property named Pavilion, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 on Monday to Friday, 08:00 and 18:00 on Saturdays and 09:00 and 17:00 on Sundays only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Major Yorks Road through traffic is via Major Yorks Road, A264 Bishops Down, A264 Mount Ephraim, A264 Church Road, A26 London Road, A26 Eridge Road, Major Yorks Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for any Hungershall Park Road through traffic is via Hungershall Park Road, High Rocks Lane, Tea Garden Lane, A264 Langton Road, Major Yorks Road and vice versa.
There is no alternative route for any Fir Tree Road through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
School House Lane, Horsmonden, TN12 8BP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow meter cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of School House Lane, Horsmonden, on or after 13th May 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Great Baynden. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
Tonbridge Road, Tunbridge Wells (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow bridge inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tonbridge Road, Tunbridge Wells, on or after 30th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the A21 junction with Tonbridge Road, between the hours 20:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A21 Pembury Bypass, A21 Pembury Road, A2014 Vauxhall Lane, A21 Vauxhall Roundabout, A2014 Pembury Road, A21 Pembury Road, A21 Pembury Bypass, A21 Slip Road to A228 Pembury Road, A228 Pembury Road to A21 Pembury Bypass, A21 Pembury Bypass to Longfield Road and vice versa.
Whetsted Road, Whetsted, TN12 6SZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Whetsted Road, Whetsted, on or after 13th May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of B2017 Badsell Road to the junction of A228 Maidstone Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Whetsted Road, B2017 Badsell Road, A228 Maidstone Road, Whetsted Road and vice versa.
