What is happening?
Temporary Road Closure – Stoney Cross Plain Road, Lyndhurst, New Forest
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: That part of Stoney Cross Plain Road between its junction with Swan Green and its junction with Peartree Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Stoney Cross Plain Road, A31, Southampton Road, Lyndhurst Road, Romsey Road, Gosport Lane, Chapel Lane, Shrubbs Hill Road, High Street, Bournemouth Road, Swan Green.
DURATION OF ORDER: From Tuesday 22nd April 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than Thursday 24th April 2025 and working between the hours 08:00-18:00).
