Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DOVER AREA
Ash Road, Sandwich, CT13 9JA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow railway works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ash Road, Sandwich, on or after 18th May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 01:00 and 01:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Strand Street, High Street, The Chain, Galliard Street, New Street, Dover Road, Deal Road, A258 Deal Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass and Ash Road.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Ash Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A258 Deal Road, Deal Road, Dover Road, New Street, Cattle Market, Harnet Street and Stand Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Beacon Lane, Woodnesborough, CT13 0PP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beacon Lane, Woodnesborough, on or after 28th April 2025 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Drainless Road for approximately 727m in a Northeasterly direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Beacon Lane, Drainless Road, Foxborough Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bowling Street, Sandwich, CT13 9EZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bowling Street, Sandwich, on or after 30th April 2025 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, from the junction of Strand Street for approximately 76m in a Southwesterly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Strand Street, Church Street St Mary, Vicarage Lane, Bowling Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Cowper Road, Deal, CT14 9QF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cowper Road, Deal, on or after 12th May 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 5, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cowper Road, Church Path, Grange Road, A258 London Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Liverpool Road, Walmer, CT14 7JA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Liverpool Road, Walmer, on or after 12th May 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 7, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Alexandra Road, The Beach, Clarence Road, Archery Square, A258 Dover Road, Archery Square and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Mill Lane, Shepherdswell, CT15 7LN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Lane, Shepherdswell, on or after 15th May 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 7, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mill Lane, Church Hill, Eythorne Road, Great Haynes and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Mill Lane, Worth, CT14 0BD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Lane, Worth, on or after 12th May 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Mulberry, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A258 Deal Road, Felderland Lane, A256 Sandwich Road, Sandwich Road, High Street, Brook Street, Hay Hill, Hay Lane, Mill Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
New Street, Ash, CT3 2BT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of New Street, Ash, on or after 12th May 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Mill Field and Saunders Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via New Street, Sandwich Road, A257 Ash Bypass, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A258 Deal Road, Deal Road, Dover Road, St Barts Road, Woodnesborough Road, Sandwich Road, The Street, Oak Hill, Marshborough Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Queens Road, Ash, CT3 2AX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Queens Road, Ash, on or after 28th April 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 64, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chequer Lane, Chilton Field, Queens Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Standen Lane, Hawkinge, CT18 7EN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Standen Lane, Hawkinge, on or after 16th May 2025 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Alkham Valley Road for approximately 1150m in a Westerly direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Standen Lane, Cowgate Lane, Stombers Lane, Alkham Valley Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Station Road, Martin Mill, CT15 5JX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Station Road, Martin Mill, on or after 12th May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of A258 Deal Road and Road from Station Road to Martin Lodge Farm, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Station Road, Hollands Hill, East Langdon Road, The Street, White Hill, Solton Lane, A258 Deal Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Stockdale Gardens, Deal, CT14 9BW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stockdale Gardens, Deal, on or after 28th April 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 7, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stockdale Gardens, B2056 Hamilton Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The Street, Sholden, CT14 0AH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Sholden, on or after 30th April 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Sholden Farmhouse, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sholden New Road, A258 London Road, The Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Upper Strand Street, Sandwich, CT13 0WU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Upper Strand Street, Sandwich, on or after 28th April 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 9, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Upper Strand Street, Knightrider Street, The Quay, High Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Wingham Well Lane, Wingham Well (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wingham Well Lane, Wingham Well, on or after 30th April 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Ovendens, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wingham Well Lane, A257 Canterbury Road, B2046 High Street, B2046 Adisham Road, Snakes Hill and vice versa.

Woodnesborough Road, Sandwich, CT13 9ET (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Woodnesborough Road, Sandwich, on or after 12th May 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 1 Harp Villa, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Moat Sole, Cattle Market, Harnet Street, Strand Street, High Street, The Chain, Galliard Street, New Street, Dover Road, St Barts Road and Woodnesborough Road.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Woodnesborough Road, St Barts Road, Dover Road, New Street, Cattle Market and Moat Sole.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Queens Road, Ash, CT3 2AX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Queens Road, Ash, on or after 28th April 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
