What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING

The Ealing (Various Roads Playstreet Scheme) (No. 4, 2016) (Amendment No. 017) Order 2025.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Ealing on 21 April 2025 made the above-titled Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

he general effect of the made playstreet Order will be to create play streets on: -

(a) DORSET ROAD, W4 (between junctions of Gloucester Road and Trent Avenue);

(b) GRAHAM ROAD, W4 (between junctions of Carlton Road and Florence Road).

The scheme called “Playstreet” would close the above roads to vehicular traffic on one Saturday or Sunday each month (or such other occasions as the Council may approve) for a period of up to 3 hours to enable children to use them for play schemes. Vehicles would be able to access premises in the closed sections of street and would be escorted by a steward to reach their destination.

The made Order, which will come into operation on 28 April 2025, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order including plans, are available by e-mail from ‘trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk’ or for inspection at Customer Services Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until six weeks of the date on which the Order were made.

Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
