Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic

1. The Council of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham hereby gives notice that in order to facilitate Olympia development in the above-named road; it made an Order the effect of which will temporarily prohibit traffic in a section of the abovenamed road.

2. Whilst works are in progress, or whilst the authorised traffic signs are displayed the Northeast bound cycle lane on Hammersmith Road, opposite the junction of Avonmore Road to opposite the junction of Addison Bridge Place shall be suspended.

3. An alternative route for traffic in article 2 shall not be required. 

4. Whilst works are in progress, or whilst the authorised traffic signs are displayed, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed to enter Olympia Way from the junction with Hammersmith Road to a point ten meters Northwest of that junction.

5. An alternative route for traffic in article 4 shall be provided via Maclise Road, Sinclair Road, Hazlitt Road, Blythe Road and Hammersmith Road.

6. Exemptions will be provided in the Order to permit reasonable access to premises, so far as it is practical without interference with the execution of the said work and for works vehicles, any vehicle being used in connection with police, fire or ambulance purposes and anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

7. The Order will come into operation on the 28th April 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

8. Works will be expected to commence on Monday 28th April 2025 and last until the 12th May 2025. 

Backup dates would be provided on the 5th April to the 19th May 2025. 

The dates specified are for guidance and informative purposes only and works may extend outside these dates.
