Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14 The County Of Devon (Temporary Restriction) 

(Church Lane, Cheriton Bishop) (No. 2) Order 2025 
Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic 

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 19/5/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 30/5/25. 

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads. 

Roads affected: Church Lane, Cheriton Bishop 

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - Church Lane - Road From Four Cross Ways To Cottage Cross - Road From Cheriton Cross To Four Cross Ways - Road From Cheriton Cross To Polford Bridge & Vice Versa. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: Cut Back Exsisting Hedge To Widen Exisiting Carriageway. 400mm Extra Width Of Tarmac Will Be Added To The Existing Road. Maintain Pedestrian Footpath.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: DRAINAGE WORKS.

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - B3181, Station Road, A373, Dowell Street, A375, A30, B3212, Pinhoe Road, B3181 & Vice Versa. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: Phase 1 Of Gas Mains Replacement Works. 

Includes Parking Prohibition Along Exeter Hill. 

Phases 1, 2 & 3 Will Never Have Their Road Closures In Place At The Same Time.

None Of The 3 Phases" Road Closures Will Be In Place At The Same Time.
