What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF HALTON (5 MILE ROAD RACE) (VARIOUS ROADS, HALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OR RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to a special Event being held, Halton Borough Council has made the above mentioned temporary Order under Section 16 (A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) by the Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994.

*This includes the closures at junctions of the following roads: Carr Lane, Pheasant Field, Arklow Drive and Aran Close, Hale.

Reason for making the Order: the Council is satisfied that the Order is needed to facilitate the holding of an Event known as ‘The 5 Mile Road Race’.

Effect of the Order: during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in or along the roads and no person shall during the Event period enter or proceed in or along the roads.

Alternative Routes: where available suitably signed alternative route(s) will be provided. While the Order is in operation, traffic, including bicycle and pedestrian movement, along the highways specified above will be temporarily restricted (except for emergency access). Access to properties adjoining the highways specified above will not be affected by the Order.

Date Order to come into effect: 20 April 2025.

Maximum duration of the Order: 3 days from the date the Order comes into effect.

Note: the Event is ‘The 5 Mile Road Race’.

The Order shall come into operation on 0630 hours on 20 April 2025 and will remain in force until 1230 hours on 20 April 2025. Please contact 0333 333 4300 for further information.
