Nottinghamshire - Temporary Prohibition of Driving
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (A620, VARIOUS LOCATIONS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025 (N25-093)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads in Various Locations in the District of Bassetlaw.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. A620 Gainsborough Road, Bole - From its junction with Sturton Road, Bole to its junction with A60 Gainsborough Road, North Wheatley.
b. A620 Gainsborough Road, North Wheatley - From its junction with A620 Gainsborough Road, Bole to its junction with Low Road, North Wheatley.
c. Low Road, North Wheatley - From its junction with From its junction with A620 Gainsborough Road, North Wheatley to its junction with Clarborough Hill, Clarborough.
d. Clarborough Hill, Clarborough - From its junction with Low Road, North Wheatley to its junction Main Street, Hayton
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 20:00 hours until 05:00 hours only From Tuesday 22nd April until Saturday 26th April 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Gainsborough Road - Bawtry Road - Gainsborough Road - Mill Hill - Bar Road - Gainsborough Road - Saundby Road and vice versa
The Order will come into force on 22nd April 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
