Holme Lane - Prohibition of Driving
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (HOLME LANE, HOLME PIERREPONT) (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025 (8366)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council HAS MADE an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effects of which will be, in respects of roads at Holme Pierrepont in the Borough of Rushcliffe: -
Prohibition of Driving along the following length of road:
Holme Lane, Holme Pierrepont - From a point 20 metres north-east of the centre line of its junction with Sandy Lane in a northeasterly direction to a point 23 metres south-west of its junction with the road to the side of The Toll House. Relevant documents may be inspected at during opening hours: -
a) The Nottinghamshire County Council, County Hall, Loughborough Road, West Bridgford, NG2 7QP
b) Radcliffe-on-Trent Library, New Road, Radcliffe-on-Trent, Nottingham, NG12 2AJ Or by visiting the County Council’s Website (https://consult.nottinghamshire. gov.uk)
THIS ORDER WILL COME INTO FORCE ON 21ST APRIL 2025.
The road closure has been introduced to remove motor traffic from the specified length of Holme Lane.
This will help make it safer for non-motorised users of the road (pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders) and will help ensure that the road surface is not unduly damaged by the excessive use by motorised vehicles. The road width is not suitable for 2-way motorised traffic.
The road is closed off by timber gates with a gap left at the side for non-motorised traffic.
