What is happening?

BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE
((CIVIL ENFORCEMENT OF TRAFFIC CONTRAVENTIONS) (VARIOUS STREETS) (MIDDLETON TOWNSHIP) ORDER 2008) (AMENDMENT) (NO. 92) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to amend the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Middleton Township) Order 2008, by inserting the following:-

Schedule No. 9.18
On Street Permit Parking Place (24 hours)
Nelson Street, East Middleton Ward
n(i) along the northerly side from a point 96 metres north-west of its junction with Pine Street extending to the north-westerly kerb for a distance of 6 metres in a north-westerly direction

The Glen, East Middleton Ward
n(i) along the north-easterly side from a point 27 metres north-east of its junction with Moss Farm Close extending to the easterly kerb for a distance of 6 metres in a south-easterly direction

The Moss, East Middleton Ward
n(i) within the southerly cul-de-sac from a point 76 metres south-west of its junction with Kingsway extending along the western kerb in a south-westerly direction for a distance of circa 5 metres

Manchester Old Road, South Middleton Ward
n(i) the south side from a point 37 metres south-west of its junction with Bonny Brow Street for a distance of 6 metres in a south-westerly direction

Windermere Road, West Middleton Ward
n(i) the north-westerly side from a point 74 metres north-east of its easterly junction with Latrigg Crescent for a distance of 6 metres in a north-easterly direction

A copy of the proposed Order and plans showing the lengths of road concerned, together with a Statement of Reasons for making the Order, may be viewed on the Council’s website www.rochdale.gov.uk/roads, or by phoning Highways on 0300 303 8879 to request a copy via post.

Any objections or representations regarding the proposed Order, stating the grounds on which they are made, must be given in writing to trafficorders@rochdale.gov. uk or, alternatively, posted to Network Management, Floor 2, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, OL16 1XU to reach the Council on or before 8th May 2025, quoting reference H60/1308-25/MID.
