Hotham Road, North Cave - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic to Enable Quickline Communications to Install Fibre Cabling Works

What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OFYORKSHIRE COUNCIL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

HOTHAM ROAD, NORTH CAVE

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Hotham Road, North Cave between its junctions with Dean Lane, Hotham and Cliffe Road, North Cave commencing Monday 28 April 2025 until Friday 9 May 2025.

The road closure is necessary to enable Quickline Communications to install fibre cabling works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 12 days.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via North Cave Road, Common Hill and Cliffe Road, Hotham CP, North Cave CP, Howdenshire Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure.

The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services.

The Order will commence 28 April 2025 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
