Bromley/Williamson Street - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic A Railway Bridge Inspection
What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC142837115: The City of Manchester (Bromley/Williamson Street, Piccadilly Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Bromley/Williamson Street from Gould Street to Bilbrook Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Gould Street, Rochdale Road, Bromley Street & Vice Versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a railway bridge inspection. It is expected that the works will be in progress on 1st June 2025 between the hours of 10:00 and 15:00. The order shall come into operation on 1st June 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

ORDER NO. MCC142839002: The City of Manchester (Withy Grove, Piccadilly Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Withy Grove from Corporation to Street to Dantzic Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Corporation Street, Angel Street, Rochdale Road, Shudehill & Dantzic street, Hannover Street, Riga Street, Miller Street, Corporation Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a crane. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 28th April 2025 to 1st May 2025 between 22:00hrs and 05:00hrs on each shift. The order shall come into operation on 28th April 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
