Long Lane - Temporary Road Closure For Earthworks

Temporary Closure of Long Lane
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Long Lane - from the junction with Lower Lane to the junction with Chovel Lane. A total distance of 1171 metres.
This Order will enable Kier to carry out earthworks on behalf of Somerset Highways.
The Order becomes effective on 1st May 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months.
The works are expected to commence on 5th May 2025 and last until 16th May 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 12 days.
