Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic.

For specific dates and diversion please visit one.network This order will come into operation on Friday 18 April 2025 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 2 May 2025. NOTICE OF PROPOSAL - (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 (Amendment No. 35) 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 38, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 61 and 124 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and in accordance with its duty under Section 122 of the said Act. The effect of the proposed Order will be to: -1. Amend the Cheshire East Borough Council (Prohibition and restriction of Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 by:
1. Introducing the No Waiting At Any Time prohibitions as outlined in Schedule 1 below and by replacing Map Tile No. AH137 in the Consolidation Order schedules.
2. The restrictions and/or prohibitions imposed by this proposed Order shall be in addition to and not in derogation of any restrictions or requirements imposed by any regulations made or having effect as if made under the Act or by or under any other enactment.
SCHEDULE 1 -
(Introduction of No Waiting At Any Time Restrictions) Westward Road
? Both sides - From the junction with Buckingham Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction.
? Both sides - From the junction with Buckingham Road for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction.
? South side - From the junction with Bourne Street for a distance of 6 metres in a westerly direction.
Buckingham Road
? Both sides - From a point 10 metres north of the junction with Westward Road to a point 10 metres south of the junction with Westward Road.
Bourne Street
? East side - From a point 19 metres north of the junction with Simpson Street to a point 8 metre south of the junction with Simpson Street.
? West side - From the junction with Westward Road for a distance of 17 metres in a southerly direction.
Simpson Street
? Both sides - From the junction with Bourne Street for a distance of 8 metres in an easterly direction.
Lindfield Estate North
? East side - From the junction with Beech Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.
? West side - From the north side of the junction with Alma Lane for a distance of 34 metres in a southerly direction.
Beech Lane
? South side - From the junction with Lindfield Estate North for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction.

NOTICE OF MAKING - (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 (Amendment No. 12) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that on 10th April 2025 Cheshire East Borough Council made an Order under Sections 82, 84 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act. 1. The effect of the Order, which will come into operation on 1st July
2025, will be to -
1. Amend the Cheshire East Borough Council (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 by introducing the additional speed restrictions as outlined in Schedule 1 below and adding Map Tile No's. Z137, Z138 and Y138 in the Consolidation Order schedules.
2. A copy of the Order; a map showing the restricted areas; a statement of reasons for making the Order, a copy of this public notice and
a copy of the public notice of the proposal to make the order are available to view at: bit.ly/2RR0UkD or if you do not have access to the internet, please contact 0300 123 5020 for further details or to request paper copies.
3. Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or any requirement of the Act or an instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
