Newport Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Pole Replacement Works

Somerset Council Parish of North Curry Temporary Closure of Newport Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Newport Road - from the junction with Oxen Lane, southwards for a total distance of 504 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to carry out pole replacement.

The Order becomes effective on 1st May 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 8th May 2025 and last until 8th May 2025 between the hours of 08:30 - 15:30 for a total of 7 hours.
