What is happening?

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BRIDLEWAY LITTLE BERKHAMSTED 21

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horseriders, and cyclists from using that length of Bridleway Little Berkhamsted 21, heading south to junction to Stockings Lane, for an approximate distance of 60m.

Alternative route: via Little Berkhamsted 6 and 24

The purpose of the Order is to enable utilities works to take place.

The section of Bridleway will be closed on or after 22 April 2025 for up to 2 days, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY ONE WAY TRAFFIC SYSTEM ON STOCKS ROAD, ALDBURY FOR THE DURATION OF THE ‘ALDBURY MAY FAIR’) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding along that length of Stocks Road, Aldbury from its junction with Aldbury Public Bridleway No.073 south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Station Road, a distance of approximately 1215m (“the Road”), other than in a northerly direction only, when signs are in place.

An alternative route will be via B488 Upper Icknield Way, Northfield Road and Station Road.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure public safety and prevent accidents for the duration of the ‘Aldbury May Fair’.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN STANSTEAD ABBOTTS, DANE END, GREAT HORMEAD, BRICKENDON AND BRAUGHING) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of Lawrence Avenue, Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with B181 High Street south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards, north westwards and south westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Whitehill, Dane End from its junction with Munden Road south eastwards to its junction with Potters Green, a distance of approximately 1661m.

An alternative route will be via Munden Road, Sacombe Pound, A602 Tonwell Bypass, Anchor Lane, Cambridge Road, High Road, Ermine Street, Standon Green End and Potters Green.

3. that length of Willow Close, Great Hormead from its junction with Horseshoe Hill south eastwards and clockwise for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

4. that length of Pembridge Lane, Brickendon from its junction with Brickendon Green south westwards, south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 1522m.

An alternative route will be via Brickendon Lane, B158 (Horns Mill Road/Lower Hatfield Road), Robins Nest Hill, Church Road, C54 (unnamed road), White Stubbs Lane and Pembridge Lane.

5. that length of The Street, Braughing from its junction with Ford Street north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Gravelly Lane, a distance of approximately 688m.

An alternative route will be via Malting Lane, B1368 Green End and Gravelly Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B158 CASTLE STREET, HERTFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the northbound carriageway of B158 Castle Street, Hertford from its junction with Queens Road north eastwards to its junction with Millers Yard, a distance of approximately 26m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B158 Castle Street, A414 (Gascoyne Way/Hertingfordbury Road), A119 Cross Lane, North Road, St Andrew Street and B158 (Mill Bridge/The Wash/Parliament Square/Castle Street).

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS FOOTPATHS AND PUBLIC FOOTPATHS IN CHESHUNT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath (“the Footpaths”) and public footpaths (“Public Footpaths”):-

1. the footpath situated to the rear of Nos.5-12 Allwood Road, Cheshunt from its junction with Allwood Road north eastwards, north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 259m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east side of Allwood Road, the footway situated on the north side of Rennison Close and the footpath situated on the west side of No.12 Rennison Close.

2. the footpath situated on the east side of Nos.132-135 Bushbarns, Cheshunt from its junction with Bushbarns north eastwards, north westwards, south westwards, north westwards, westwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards, a distance of approximately 142m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of Bushbarns.

3. the footpath fronting Nos.38-45 Harkness, Cheshunt from its junction with Rosedale Way north eastwards for a distance of approximately 58m. An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of Rosedale Way, the footpath fronting Nos.14-21 Harkness and the footpath fronting Nos.22-29 Harkness.

4. the footpath fronting Nos.14-21 Harkness, Cheshunt from its junction with Rosedale Way north eastwards for a distance of approximately 58m. An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of Rosedale Way, the footpath fronting Nos.38-45 Harkness and the footpath fronting Nos.22-29 Harkness.

5. the footpath situated between No.1 and No.21 McGredy, Cheshunt from its junction with Rosedale Way south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 108m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south side of Rosedale Way, the footpath situated between No.22 and No.36 McGredy and the footpath situated on the south side of No.12 and No.29 McGredy.

6. the footpath situated between No.22 and No.36 McGredy, Cheshunt from its junction with Rosedale Way south westwards, south eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 115m.

An alternative route will be via the footway on the south side of Rosedale Way, the footpath situated between No.1 and No.21 McGredy and the footpath situated on the south side of No.12 and No.29 McGredy.

7. that length of Cheshunt Public Footpath No.040 from its junction with Rags Lane north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Hammondstreet Road, a distance of approximately 278m.

An alternative route will be via the footway on the north side of Rags Lane, Cheshunt Public Footpath No.039 and the footway on the south side of Hammondstreet Road.

8. that length of Cheshunt Public Footpath No.058 from its junction with B156 Goffs Lane north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Cheshunt Public Footpath No.067, a distance of approximately 332m.

An alternative route will be via the footway on the north side of B156 Goffs Lane, the footpath situated on the east side of Nos.31-44 Cussons Close and the footpath situated on the north side of Nos.33-44 Glamis Close.

9. the footpath situated on the south side of No.105 Elderbeck Close, Cheshunt from its junction with Cheshunt Public Footpath No.058 south westwards to its junction with Rosedale Way, a distance of approximately 30m.

An alternative route will be via Cheshunt Public Footpath No.058 and the footway situated on the north side of Rosedale Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpaths and Public Footpaths.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 May 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpaths and Public Footpaths.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROSEDALE WAY, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Rosedale Way, Cheshunt from a point 37m east of its junction with Rose Court Rosedale eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with the Rosedale Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 25m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Rosedale Way.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN GRENADINE CLOSE AND RENNISON CLOSE, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Grenadine Close, Cheshunt from its junction with Allwood Road south westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Rennison Close, Cheshunt from its junction with Allwood Road north westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bucks Alley, Essendon/Bayford from its junction with Robins Nest Hill south eastwards and north eastwards to its junctions with Ashendene Road, a distance of approximately 1293m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Robins Nest Hill, Church Road, C54 (unnamed road), White Stubbs Lane and Ashendene Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gobions Lane, Bramfield from its junction with A119 High Road north westwards, south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Winding Shott, a distance of approximately 2955m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A119 (High Road/Hertford Road/North Road), Bramfield Road, Tattle Hill, Main Road and Winding Shott.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SACOMBE POUND, SACOMBE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sacombe Pound, Sacombe from its junction with Sacombe Green Road southwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 119m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Sacombe Pound, Munden Road, Whempstead Lane, Whempstead Road, A602 Tonwell Bypass and Sacombe Pound.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 24 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN HERTFORD HEATH, GREAT AMWELL, STANSTEAD ST MARGARETS AND STANSTEAD ABBOTTS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads, whilst works are in progress:-

1. the A10 (unnamed road) roundabout, Hertford Heath from its junction with A10 Amwell Link Road clockwise for a distance of approximately 430m. An alternative route will be via A10 Amwell Link Road, A1170 (Ware Road/Amwell Street) and A10 (Hoddesdon Link Road/unnamed road).

2. that length of A10 Amwell Link Road, Great Amwell from its junction with the A10 (unnamed road) roundabout north eastwards to its junction with the A1170 Ware Road/B1502 Stanstead Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 478m.

An alternative route will be via A10 (unnamed road/Hoddesdon Link Road) and A1170 (Amwell Street/Ware Road).

3. the A10 northbound slip road leading onto the A10 Amwell Link Road roundabout, Hertford Heath from its junction with the northbound carriageway of A10 (unnamed road) north westwards to its junction with the A10 Amwell Link Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 509m. An alternative route will be via A10 (unnamed road), A414 Rush Green Link Road, A10 (unnamed road) and the A10 Amwell Link Road roundabout.

4. the A10 northbound slip road leading from the A10 Amwell Link Road roundabout, Hertford Heath from its junction with the A10 Amwell Link Road roundabout north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with the northbound carriageway of A10 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 576m.

An alternative route will be via A10 Amwell Link Road, A1170 (Ware Road/Amwell Street) and A10 (Hoddesdon Link Road/unnamed road).

5. the A10 southbound slip road leading onto the A10 Amwell Link Road roundabout, Stanstead St Margarets from its junction with the southbound carriageway of A10 (unnamed road) south eastwards to its junction with the A10 Amwell Link Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 455m. An alternative route will be via A10 (unnamed road/Hoddesdon Link Road) and A1170 (Amwell Street/Ware Road) and A10 Amwell Link Road.

6. the A10 southbound slip road leading from the A10 Amwell Link Road roundabout, Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with the A10 Amwell Link Road roundabout south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with the southbound carriageway of A10 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 776m.

An alternative route will be via A10 (unnamed road/Hoddesdon Link Road), A1170 (Amwell Street/Ware Road) and A10 (unnamed road).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 21 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the south westbound carriageway of Pindar Road, Hoddesdon from a point 15m north east of its easternmost junction with Essex Road south westwards to its junction with Essex Road, a distance of approximately 15m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Pindar Road and Essex Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of 3U31 (unnamed road), Great Munden from a point 1057m north west of its junction with The Street north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junctions with Mentley Lane, a distance of approximately 1242m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via 3U31 (unnamed road), The Street, Giffords Lane, C16 Great Munden and Mentley Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF UPPER GREEN ROAD, TEWIN) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Upper Green Road, Tewin from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.78 Upper Green Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 24m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Upper Green Road, Upper Green, Orchard Road, Harmer Green Lane, New Road, Harmer Green Lane, Hertford Road, B1000 Hertford Road, Churchfield Road, School Lane, Lower Green and Upper Green Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 April 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
