Horsham and Rudgewick - Multiple Road Temporary Traffic Regulations

(Highway Works Programme) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close and introduce a temporary prohibition of waiting at anytime on sections of the following roads. This Order will also introduce a temporary 30MPH speed limit on major ‘A’ class roads and a temporary 20MPH speed limit on minor and
non-classified roads: Coldwaltham: Brook Lane, between the A29 and Greatham; Cowfold: A272, between Thornden and Oakfield Road and between the A281 and Long House Lane; A281, between Thornden and St Peters Close; Horsham:
Blackbridge Lane, between Guildford Road and Worthing Road; Two Mile Ash Road, between Marlpost Road and Tower Hill; Itchingfield: Plumtree Cross Lane; Sandhills Road; Westons Hill; Rudgwick: Loxwood Road, between Drungewick Lane and the A281; Shipley: Brooks Green Road, from Mayfair to Newell House; Smithers Hill Lane between the A272 and Countryman
Lane; Southwater: Cripplegate Lane, between Cedar Drive and Mill Straight; Storrington & Sullington: A283, between the A24 and Nightingale Lane. These road closures are needed to protect public safety whilst the 2025/26 highway works programme is carried out. It is expected that the affected roads will be closed for upto 3 days. Temporary speed limits may be required may be required in preparation for the works, during the works and inbetween phases of the works. The exact dates and duration of the works and the traffic management in each location will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time.
The Order will come into effect on 17 April 2025 and remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the works programme is completed, whichever is earlier. During the works alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Rudgwick: Public Bridleway No. 1352)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under theRoad Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Bridleway No. 1352 from the junction with The Haven (507574.538, 130116.044) to the junction with Okehurst
Road (507629.705, 129562.994), a distance of approximately 560 M. The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to a broken bridge. Unfortunately there are no alternative routes available using the Public Rights of Way network. The Order will come into effect on 23 April 2025 and will last for 6 months.
