What is happening?
Borough of Telford & Wrekin
The Council has made the Borough of Telford & Wrekin Wellington Road, Newport (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, in order to undertake gas disconnection works. The order becomes operational from the 24/4/25. The following road isaffected: Wellington Road, Newport from its jcn with Upper Bar for approx. 80m in a south westerly direction. Alternative routes will be signed on site. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the works are expected to be completed by the 25/4/25.
