Peterborough Area - Multiple Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Orders

What is happening?

Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 – St Edmunds Walk, Hampton, Peterborough Ref: 25-321
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as St Edmunds Walk, Hampton, as lies between Eagle Way and Braymere Road. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Braymere Road, Silver Hill, Eagle Way and vice versa. The proposed order came into force on the 10/03/2025 and will continue until the emergency sewer works have been completed or until the 09/03/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place until 21/04/2025. For further information please contact Anglian Water on 07975 274721. RC2

 The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above roads. The alternative routes for vehicles affected by this order are detailed in the schedule. The proposed order will come into force on the 22/04/2025 and will continue until the public realm improvement works have been completed or until the 21/04/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site.

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 – Allotment Lane, Castor, Peterborough Ref: 26-005
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Allotment Lane, Castor, as lies between Manor Farm Lane and The Green. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to
proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Manor Farm Lane, Peterborough Road, The Green and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on
the 22/04/2025 and will continue until the new gas mains connection works have been completed or until the 21/04/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough intends in not less than seven days to make an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 – Woodcroft Road, Etton Ref: 26-008
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Woodcroft Road, Etton as lies between points 20 metres either side of Woodcroft Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should
be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: via Woodcroft Rd, Helpston Rd, Glinton Rd, West St, King St, Stamford Rd, and vice versa.
The proposed Order will come into force on the 26/04/2025 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 25/04/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 23:00 and 09:00 on the 26/04/2025 to 27/04/2025. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order – Dodds Cyclepath – 2025 Ref: 26-009
The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycle path known as Dodds Cyclepath, where Freston and Dodds Cyclepath meet. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path.
The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order is: Dodds Cyclepath, footpaths around Chadburn and Honeyhill, Chadburn, Paston Ridings, Freston and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into
operation on 28/04/2025 and will continue until the new electrical connection works have been completed or until the 27/10/2025, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be carried out between 28/04/2025 and 09/05/2025. For further information please contact HVSS on 01604 781107.
