CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(FLITWICK ROAD AND EVERSHOLT ROAD, STEPPINGLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Flitwick Road, Steppingley between Eversholt Road and The Chapel and Eversholt Road, Steppingley outside West House.
This temporary closure is required to enable excavation and ducting works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on the following dates:
Flitwick Road, Steppingley on the 6 May 2025 between 8am and 6pm.
Eversholt Road, Steppingley on the 12 May 2025 between 8am and 6pm.
The roads will be closed at all times during these periods.
The alternative routes for this closure are:
Flitwick Road, Steppingley – Steppingley Road, Manor Way, Church Road, Eversholt Road and vice versa
Eversholt Road, Steppingley – Rectory Road, Cobblers Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 6 May 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Crawley Road, Bourne End, Cranfield outside Barn A and Barn B, Brook Farm.
This temporary closure is required to enable new water connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 7 to 9 May 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Bourne End Road, Crawley Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 7 May 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Station Road, Ampthill. This temporary closure is required to enable duct installation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 6 May 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via The Crescent.
The Order will come into operation on 6 May 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

REVOCATION ORDER
On 8th April 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-
To revoke Parking for Disabled badge holders only on the following lengths of road in Marston Moreteyne:-
1. Banks Close, south-west side, from a point opposite the common boundary of nos. 20 and 22 Banks Close south-eastwards, covering an area of approximately 5 metres in length and 2.7 metres in width at a 90° angle.

WAITING RESTRICTIONS
On 8th April 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-
To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Shillington:-
1. Greenfields, northern spur, from a point in line with the boundary of No.19 and No.19a Greenfields and extending in a north easterly direction initially and then following the kerb line around, crossing across the front of the school and then following the kerb line around continuously up to a point approximately in line with the northern property boundary of No.25 Greenfields.
2. Bedford Close, both sides, from the junction with Bury Road, extending in a westerly direction for approximately 16 metres.
3. Bury Road, west side, from the junction with Bedford Close, extending in a northerly direction for approximately 16 metres.
4. Bury Road, west side, from the junction with Bedford Close, extending in a southerly direction for approximately 19 metres.
5. Woodmer Close, both sides, from the junction with Bury Road, extending in a westerly direction for approximately 15 metres.
6. Bury Road, west side, from the junction with Woodmer Close, extending in a southerly direction for approximately 10 metres.
To introduce No Waiting Monday to Friday from 8.00am – 9:30am and 2:30pm – 4pm on the following length of road in Shillington:-
1. Greenfields (north and eastern spurs), east and north sides, from a point in line with the northern property boundary of No.25 Greenfields, extending in a southerly then easterly direction, to a point approximately 2 metres west if the front wall of No.27 Greenfields.

(ASPLEY GUISE: PART OF FOOTPATH NO. 11)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025
On the 11 April 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the following length of part of Public Footpath No. 11.
The length of Footpath No. 11, Aspley Guise to be stopped up extends from its junction with Footpath No. 2, Aspley Guise at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) SP 9388 3741 in a northwesterly direction for approximately 6 metres over a footbridge to OS GR SP 9388 3742 then continues in a northwesterly direction for approximately 24 metres to OS GR SP 9386 3743 then continues in a north-northwesterly direction for approximately 164 metres to terminate at its junction with an unaffected section of Footpath No. 11, Aspley Guise at OS GR SP 9377 3757.
The footpath is stopped up across its full width.
The length of Footpath No. 11, Aspley Guise to be created extends from its junction with Footpath No. 2, Aspley Guise at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) SP 9388 3741 in a north-westerly direction for approximately 6 metres over a footbridge to OS GR SP 9388 3742 then continues in a southwesterly direction for approximately 35 metres to OS GR SP 9386 3739 then continues in a northwesterly direction for approximately 41 metres to OS GR SP 9383 3741 then continues in a northwesterly direction for approximately 30 metres to OS GR SP 9380 3743 then continues in a north-northwesterly direction for approximately 140 metres to terminate at its junction with an unaffected section of Footpath No. 11, Aspley Guise at OS GR SP 9377 3757.
The new route of the footpath has a width of 2 metres.

The Order comes into force on the 18 April 2025 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 17 April 2025 make an application to the High Court.
