What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE A514 SWARKESTONE ROAD, CHELLASTON
WHEN: 07 May to 08 May 2025 (20:00 to 06:00 only).
WHERE: A514 Swarkestone Road, Chellaston from its jct. with Riber Drive for an approx. distance of 67m south.
REASON: To facilitate planning off existing carriageway and relaying tarmac.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A514: Swarkestone Road/Derby Road / Chellaston Road, A5111: Osmaston Park Road;/ Newgate Street /Kenilworth Avenue /Warwick Avenue/ Manor Road, A516: Uttoxeter New Road, A38: Burton Road/ Toyota Island, A50, Swarkestone Road and vice versa. Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
