Notice of Proposed Special Event
Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council has received an
application from County Antrim Harriers that it wishes to hold the
County Antrim Harriers Mayfair 5k Fun Run and 10k road race, on
sections of the Cloughan Lane, Doagh Road, Rashee Road, Cogry
Road, Rectory Road, Station Road, Ballyclare Road, Main Street
Ballyclare, Six Mile Park, Avondale Drive, and Hawthorn Way, on
Saturday 24th May 2025.
By Virtue of the powers conferred on it by Article 8A of and Schedule
3A to the Road Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 the
Council gives notice that it is minded to make an Order to temporarily
restrict or prohibit vehicular traffic from using sections of the Cloughan
Lane, Doagh Road, Rashee Road, Cogry Road, Rectory Road, Station
Road, Ballyclare Road, Main Street Ballyclare, Six Mile Park, Avondale
Drive, and Hawthorn Way, on Saturday 24th May 2025 between the
hours of 9:30am and 11:30am.
Direction on traffic management will be provided.
Arrangements can be made to inspect the application free of
charge, by contacting the Council on the number and/or by
email below.
Persons wishing to make representations to the Council regarding
the proposal may do so in writing at the address below by
5pm on Thursday 8th May 2025
Representations received after this will not be considered.
