Saxondale Drive - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Gas Mains Replacement Works
What is happening?
The Nottinghamshire County Council
(Saxondale Drive, Upper Saxondale) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2025 (R25-086)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Upper Saxondale in the Borough of Rushcliffe
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Saxondale Drive, Upper Saxondale - From its junction with A52 from J A46 to Dualling West of Radcliffe on Trent, Rushcliffe, in a south easterly direction for 80 metres.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. Saxondale Drive, Upper Saxondale - From its junction with A52 from J A46 to Dualling West of Radcliffe on Trent, Rushcliffe, in a south easterly direction for 80 metres.
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 06:00 hours Monday 28th April 2025 Until 18:00 hours Monday 1st September 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a: A46 Roundabout to Dual at A52 Bingham Island - A52 at Saxondale to start of Bingham Island Splitter
E - The Fosse - Henson Lane - Saxondale Drive
b: A52 from J A46 to Dualing West of Radcliffe on Trent - Cropwell Road - Radcliffe Road - Main Street - Hardigate Road - The Fosse - Henson Lane - Saxondale Drive
The Order will come into force on 28th April 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Cadent to carry out gas mains replacement works.
