What is happening?

THE SWALE BOROUGH COUNCIL
(OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) (BOURNE PLACE) ORDER 2019
(VARIATION No 5) 2025

Notice is hereby given that SWALE BOROUGH COUNCIL have made the above Order under section 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, having obtained the consent of the Kent County Council in accordance with Section 39(3) of the Act, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act -

The Order will Revise the current Car Park Tariff as follows;

7am to 10pm

Pay on Foot

Up to 30 mins = 70p

Up to 1 hour = £1.40

Up to 2 hours = £2.80

Up to 3 hours = £4.20

Up to 4 hours = £5.60

Up to 5 hours = £7.00

Up to 6 hours = £8.40

(Maximum Stay)

Over 6 hours = £9.80

(within 24hour period)

 

Lost Ticket =£9.80

Up to 30 mins = 80p

Up to 1 hour = £1.50

Up to 2 hours = £3.00

Up to 3 hours = £4.50

Up to 4 hours = £6.00

Up to 5 hours = £7.50

Up to 6 hours = £9.00

Over 6 hours = £10.50

The Order was made on 14th April 2025 and will come into effect on 1st May 2025.

A copy of the Order, any Orders which will be amended by the Order, a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order and indicating the location and effect may be examined at the Reception Desk, Swale House, East Street, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 3HT between 10.00am and 12.00 Mid-day from Friday 25 th April 2025.

Any person wishing to question the validity of an Order or any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
