Notice Of Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic – Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Stoneley Road, Crewe
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Stoneley Road, Crewe – From the junction with Waldron’s Lane to the junction with Bidvale Way.
The alternative route will be via Groby Road, Remer Street, Middlewich Street, North Street Roundabout and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Tuesday 22 April 2025 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Tuesday 13 May 2025.

This order will come into operation on Friday 18 April 2025 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 2 May 2025.

Notice Of Making – (Various Roads)
(Consolidation) Order 2022 (Amendment No. 11) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that on 10th April 2025 Cheshire East Borough Council made an Order under Sections 82, 84 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act.
1. The effect of the Order, which will come into operation on 1st July 2025, will be to:
a) Amend the Cheshire East Borough Council (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 by introducing the speed limit as outlined in Schedule 1 below by replacing map tile CY106 in the Consolidation Order Schedules.
2. A copy of the Order; a map showing the restricted areas; a statement of reasons for making the Order, a copy of this public notice and a copy of the public notice of the proposal to make the order are available to view at: bit.ly/2RR0UkD. Or, if you do not have access to the internet, please contact 0300 123 5020 for further details or to request paper copies.
3. Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or any requirement of the Act or an instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
