What is happening?

Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

CHURCHOVER LANE, RUGBY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: To enable power supply works.
Order Commences: 22 April 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 4 May 2025.
Access & Diversion: Montilo Lane, Lutterworth Road, A5 J A4303/B4027 Roundabout, Watling Street, Coventry Road, A5 From J A4303/B4027 Roundabout to start of dualling east of Little Walton, A5 from start of dualling east of Little Walton to end of dualling south west of Cotesbach Se, A5 from end of dualling south west of Cotesbach To J A426 Roundabout, A5 J A426 Roundabout, Leicester Road, School Street, Church Street, The Green, Harborough Magna Road, Hospital Lane and vice versa.

LILAC DRIVE, BILTON, RUGBY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: To enable duct laying works.
Order Commences: 22 April 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 23 April 2025.
Access & Diversion: No alternative route available.

LITTLE CHURCH STREET, CALDECOTT, RUGBY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: To safely enable works to reconnect supply.
Order Commences: 21 April 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 23 April 2025.
Access & Diversion: No diversion available.

ORCHID WAY, RUGBY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: To enable works on sluice valve chamber.
Order Commences: 22 April 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 24 April 2025.
Access & Diversion: No diversion available.

PYTCHLEY ROAD, RUGBY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from a point outside property number 44.
Reason for Order: For works to repair/replace a defective manhole frame and covers.
Order Commences: 22 April 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 22 April 2025.
Access & Diversion: Pytchley Road, Faraday Road, Naseby Road, Cromwell Road and vice versa.

PUBLIC FOOTPATH R144 RYTON ON DUNSMORE
Order Effect: Footpath closed to ALL traffic between Grid References E440462, N275356 and E439949, N274986.
Reason for Order: Works are being carried out on or near to the footpath.
Order Commences: 21 October 2022 and was due to expire on 20 April 2025. However, the Secretary of State in exercise of his powers under S.15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has directed that the order shall continue in force until 21 October 2027, or until the works to which it relates are completed, whichever is the earlier (unless the Secretary of State issues a further direction.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

CHESTNUT FIELD, RUGBY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic. In addition, the one-way traffic flow will be temporarily suspended.
Reason for Order: To enable new supply works.
Order Commences: 6 May 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 9 May 2025.
Access & Diversion: Chestnut Field, Regent Place, Park Road, North Street and vice versa.

HUNTER STREET, RUGBY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: To enable works for boundary box installation.
Order Commences: 6 May 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 7 May 2025.
Access & Diversion: Corbett Street, Chester Street, Abbey Street, Cambridge Street, Hunter Street.

MAIN STREET, BRANDON
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: To enable essential inspection of the railway bridge, 21.00hrs-05.00hrs.
Order Commences: 9 May 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 10 May 2025.
Access & Diversion: Main Street, Avondale Road, Brandon Road, Bretford Road, Rugby Road, Fosse Way, School Street and vice versa.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
