Dean Lane, Hotham - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic to Enable Fibre Works on Behalf of Quickline Communications
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OFYORKSHIRE COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (I)TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC PART OF DEAN LANE, HOTHAM
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Part of Dean Lane, Hotham approximately 80 metres from its junction with Main Street to Main Street junction commencing 5 May 2025 until 9 May 2025.
The road closure is necessary to enable fibre works on behalf of Quickline Communications to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within five days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Main Street, Rectory Lane, North Cave Road and Dean Lane, Hotham CP, Howdenshire Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure.
The road will be closed to all traffic but access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents. Further information can be obtained by contacting the council and asking for Highways Customer Care, telephone (01482) 393939.
