Pyenest Street, Stoke - Prohibit the Driving of Any Vehicle

What is happening?

City of Stoke on Trent (Pyenest Street, Stoke) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order (No.478) 2025

Notice is hereby given that Stoke on Trent City Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act, 1991, the effect of which will be to prohibit the driving of any vehicle along Pyenest Street between Howard Place and Shelton New Road.

The order is to assist in the reduction of antisocial behaviour events and to reduce antisocial behaviour within this location, this will come into operation on Thursday 1st May 2025 to Saturday 1st May 2027.

Pedestrian facilities will be maintained throughout the period of the closure as far as possible.

Access to properties will NOT be maintained as far as possible. Access for emergency vehicles will NOT be maintained as far as possible.

Nothing in the Order shall apply unless indicated by traffic signs or cones or by the direction of a police officer in uniform.
