What is happening?

SOUTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL
(GREEN LANE, SOUTH SHIELDS – NO WAITING/NO LOADING/UNLOADING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2025

South Tyneside Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the Order will be to revoke No Waiting 8am to 6pm on Green Lane north side from a point 75m west of its junction with Reay Place in a westerly direction for 57m and south side from a point 32m east of its junction with Biddick Hall Drive in a westerly direction to a point 63m west of its junction with Biddick Hall Drive; Biddick Hall Drive both sides from the south kerb of Green Lane for 14m in a southerly direction and Biddick Hall Drive – unnamed access road opposite Biddick Hall Drive east side from the north kerb of Green Lane for 30m in a northerly direction and west side from the north kerb of Green Lane for 8m in a northerly direction. The order will introduce No Waiting At Any Time and No Loading/Unloading At Any Time on:- Green Lane north side from a point 7m in a north easterly direction from its junction with access
road to Reay Place for 32m in a south westerly direction and south side from its junction with Biddick Hall Drive for 30m in a north easterly direction; Biddick Hall Drive both sides from its junction with Green Lane for 15m in a southerly direction and Access Road to Reay Place east side from its junction with Green Lane for 21m in a northerly direction and west side from its junction with Green Lane for 7m in a northerly direction. Full details of these proposals are contained in the draft order, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at the Town Hall at the address below. If you wish to raise an objection, express support or make any other observations about these proposals, you must make them in writing to the Council’s Legal Services Department at the address below or by using the same email address above by the 7 May 2025. Any objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
