The Cornwall Council Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) The County of Cornwall (Harbour Court, Access to Abbey Slipway and Abbey Street, Penzance) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 14th April 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in Penzance. This prohibition is necessary for repointing and grouting works of the Abbey Slipway surface and it is expected that the closure will be from 28th April 2025 to 30th April 2025.
The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only. Roads affected - Harbour Court and Access to Abbey Slipway for their entire lengths and Abbey Street between the junctions with Access to Abbey Slip and New Street, Penzance. Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 14th April 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Leedstown.
This prohibition is necessary for fibre infrastructure works and it is expected that the closure will be from 28th April 2025 to 29th April 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only. Road affected - Binner Cross, Leedstown from junction of Praze Road to junction of Horsedowns. Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in St Ives. This prohibition is necessary for cabling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 13th May 2025 for one day.
The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1530, weekdays only. Road affected - Bullans Lane, St Ives between the junctions of Treverbyn Road and Trelawney Road. Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 14th April 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Connor Downs.
This prohibition is necessary for annual review and maintenance of Level Crossing and it is expected that the closure will be from 29th April 2025 to 30th April 2025. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 2200 and 0600, weekdays only. Road affected - Gwinear Road, Connor Downs over the length of the Level Crossing. Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Mousehole. This prohibition is necessary for installation works of new gully and pipework and it is expected that the closure will be from 12th May 2025 to 16th May 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.
Road affected - Road From Junction South West Of Halwyn To Raginnis Hill, Raginnis, Mousehole between property known as Gwillan Drea and the junction with Raginnis Hill. Cornwall Council Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 15th April 2025 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Bridleway 22 in the Parish of Hayle between grid references SW 55832 37544 and SW 55843 37547. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to a rotten bridge.
The Order will come into operation on 16th March 2025 and the works are expected to be completed by the 14th October 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 26th March 2025 for a period of up to 21 days. Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer. Pedestrian access to residents and businesses will be maintained.

This prohibition is necessary for poling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 14th May 2025 to 15th May 2025. Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Penzance.
This prohibition is necessary for drainage works and it is expected that the closure will be from 12th May 2025 to 23rd May 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 14th April 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in Ludgvan. This prohibition is necessary for fibre infrastructure works and it is expected that the closure will be from 29th April 2025 to 1st May 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.
