(Filton Road Footpath and Cycle Path, Stoke Gifford)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers and Pedal Cycles) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance
of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as
amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily,
to foot passengers and pedal cycles that length of Filton Road Footpath
and Cycle Path (Westbound Carriageway) which extends from Bristol Road
to Coldharbour Lane. This order was required for the following reason: in
connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon Active
Travel CRSTS works. 

The order became operative from 21 April 2025 for a maximum period of six months.

The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 6 months duration.

Alternative route: Filton Road, Old Gloucester Road, Filton Road, Bristol Road and vice versa.


(Footshill Drive, Hanham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles the entire length of Footshill Drive. 

This order was required for the following reason: in connection with gas main upgrade works. 

The order became operative from 22 April 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 6 weeks duration. No alternative route available.


(Greenhill, Alveston)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Greenhill which extends from Wolfridge Ride southwards for 40m. 

This order was required for the following reason: in connection with new water connection works. 

The order became operative from 22 April 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 4 days duration. 

Alternative route: David’s Lane, A38, Greenhill Road and vice versa.


(B4058 Wotton Road and Manor Lane, Charfield)
(Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has prohibited, temporarily, any vehicle waiting at any time in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with Charfield Railway construction works. 

The order became operative from 24 April 2025 for a for a period of at least 18 months. 

The restriction however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position. 

SCHEDULE: B4058 Wotton Road South side – that length which extends from its junction with Manor Lane in a south westerly direction for a distance of 25.9 metres; and that length which extends from its junction with Manor Lane in a north easterly direction for a distance of 30.6 metres; 

Manor Lane Both sides – that length which extends from its junction with B4058 Wotton Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 13.5 metres.


(Blackhorse Road, Kingswood)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025 

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Blackhorse Road which extends from Cecil Road southwards for 100m. 

This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon pole replacement works on or adjacent to the highway. 

The order became operative from 25 April 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am and 3:30pm. 

Alternative route: CLOCKWISE: Blackhorse Road, A420 Regent Street, B4046 Hanham Road, Forest Road. 

ANTI-CLOCKWISE: Blackhorse Road, Forest Road, Hanham Road, Cecil Road.


(Mission Road, Iron Acton)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the entire length of Mission Road. 

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with pole replacement works. 

The order will be operative from 12 May 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration. 

Alternative route: North Road, B4059 Iron Acton Way, Dyers Lane and vice versa.


(Barrow Hill, Wick)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Barrow Hill which extends from Manor Road south eastwards for 150m.

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with electricity cabling works. 

The order will be operative from 12 May 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 days duration.

Alternative route: Barrow Hill, Oldbury Lane, High Street, Manor Road and vice versa.


(Crossman Avenue, Winterbourne)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Crossman Avenue which extends from a point 20m east of Bradley Avenue eastwards for 20m.

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with new water connection works. 

The order will be operative from 13 May 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration.

Alternative route: Bradley Avenue, Huckford Road, Crossman Avenue and vice versa.


(Over Lane, Almondsbury) (No.2)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Over Lane which extends from Sundays Hill to Knole Park. 

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with overhead cabling works. 

The order will be operative from 13 May 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am and 3:30pm. 

Alternative route: A38 Gloucester Road, Hayes Way, Merlin Road, B4055 and vice versa.


(Gloucester Road North, Filton)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. 

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon drainage and resurfacing works on or adjacent to the highway.

The order will be operative from 16 May 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.

The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration, between the hours of 8pm and 6am.

SCHEDULE:
1. Gloucester Road North – that length of the southbound slip road which extends from Gipsy Patch Lane southwards for 310m; 

2. Gloucester Road and Gloucester Road North (southbound carriageway) – that length of the flyover and road which extends a point 130m south of Hayes Way to Filton Avenue; 

3. Gloucester Road North (northbound carriageway) – from the A4174 Filton Roundabout northwards for 1100m.
