What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6138 WINGS ROAD, LAKENHEATH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6138 Wings Road, Lakenheath from the junction with the B1112 for 30 metres eastbound to facilitate electrical cables works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Back Street, Mill Road, the B1112 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 14/04/2025 – 18/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A137 IPSWICH ROAD, BRANTHAM HILL, THE STREET AND MAIN ROAD, BENTLEY, WHERSTEAD, BRANTHAM AND TATTINGSTONE
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases;
the A137 Ipswich Road, Bentley and the A137 Ipswich Road, Wherstead from the junction with Ipswich Road Tattingstone to Ipswich Road Bentley
the A137 Brantham Hill, Brantham, the A137 Ipswich Road, Brantham, the A137 The Street, Brantham and the A137 Main Road, Tattingstone from The Street to Stutton Lane
This is to facilitate pre surface dressing patching and surfacing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A137, the A14, the A12, the A1232, the A133, the A137 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closures will operate from:
14/04/2025 – 18/04/2025 from 8pm – 5am
22/04/2025 – 26/04/2025 from 8pm – 5am
With a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C543 SOUTHOLT ROAD, BEDFIELD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C543 Southolt Road, Bedfield from the junction with Tannington Road for 40 metres northbound to facilitate a new foul water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A1120, Marlborough Road, Chapel Road, Saxtead Road, Tannington Road, Saxtead Road, Worlingworth Road, Church Street, Church Road, Shop Street, Mill Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 14/04/2025 – 17/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1152 WILFORD BRIDGE ROAD, MELTON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A1152 Wilford Bridge Road, Melton from Melton Train Station to the junction with Brick Kiln Lane to facilitate access to an underground structure. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A1152 Woods Lane, the A12, the B1078, the B1078 Ash Road, the B1069 Woodbridge Road, the A1152, the A1152 The Street, the A1152 Eyke Road, Orford Road, the A1152 Orford Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 9pm on 06/04/2025 – 6am on 07/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C674 KINGS HILL AND SILVER STREET, KEDINGTON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:
• C674 Kings Hill, Kedington
• C674 Silver Street, Kedington from Kings Hill to Rectory Road
This is to facilitate sewer works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1061, Mill Road, West End Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 14/04/2025 – 15/04/2025 from 8am – 5pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE B1077 DEBENHAM ROAD AND THE B1077 CRANLEY ROAD, DEBENHAM AND EYE
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1077 Debenham Road, Rishangles to facilitate drainage improvement works. Other coordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Aspall Road, High Street, Ipswich Road, Winston Road, Vicarage Road, the B1077, the A1120, The Street, Stowmarket Road, Pains Hill, the A140, Norwich Road, Yaxley Road, the B1117, Magdalen Street, Lowgate Street, Cranley Green Road, the B1077, Castle Hill, Eye Road and vice versa.
For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the B1077 Cranley Road, Eye from the pumping station to the junction with Cross Street.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 14/04/2025 – 25/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C214 Mill Hill, Peasenhall from the junction with the A1120 for 40 metres northbound to facilitate fibre and ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be the A1120, Pouy Street, Halesworth Road, Dunwich Lane, Heveningham Long Lane, The Mounts and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 14/04/2025 – 16/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1065 Egremont Street, Glemsford from the junction with Flax Lane for 30 metres southbound to facilitate water works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1066, the A1092 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 14/04/2025 from 10am – 3pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4702 THE STREET, FRAMSDEN
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4702 The Street, Framsden from Flinder Cottage for 30 metres westbound to facilitate a stop tap replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Helmingham Road, Framsden, the road and the A1120 to the 3323, Helmingham, Otley Road, Helmingham, Helmingham Road, Otley, Chapel Road, Otley, Hall Lane, Otley, Otley Road, Framsden and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 14/04/2025 – 16/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C655 MILL ROAD, GAZELEY
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C655 Mill Road, Gazeley from 50 metres south of the junction with Needham Street for 150 metres southbound to facilitate carriageway repairs and drainage works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Gazeley Road, the B1506, the B1085, Gazeley Road, Mill Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 14/04/2025 – 25/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE B1062 THE STREET, FLIXTON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1062 The Street, Flixton to facilitate drainage improvement works. Other coordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
(Northbound) Old Railway Road, Broad Street, Trinity Street, Wharton Street, Lower Olland Street, St Johns Road, Hillside Road West and vice versa
(Southbound) Hillside Road West, St Johns Road, Lower Olland Road, St Mary’s Street, Earsham Street, Chaucer Street, Popson Street and Broad Street and no vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 14/04/2025 – 02/05/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8043 DAKINGS LANE, FELSHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8043 Dakings Lane, Felsham from 450 metres north of the junction with Bury Road for 40 metres northbound to facilitate a water access point reinstatement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Dakings Lane, Cockfield Road, Bury Road, Dakings Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 14/04/2025 – 18/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 22, SPROUGHTON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 22, Sproughton from Lower Street for 1130 metres northbound for safety reasons to enable repairs to the damaged surface. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
There is no diversion route.
This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 23/03/2025.
It is intended that the closure will operate until 22/09/2025, (or longer if extended by the Minister).
